I am a specialist in communication and digital marketing with more than ten years of experience in the private and public sectors. I studied social communication at the University of Chile, and in the UK I completed a digital marketing strategy & analytics program at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
My career has focused on creating engaging and relevant content for websites, social media, and public relations. I am an expert in connecting audiences with organisations in order to drive digital awareness and visibility.
Here are some of the projects I have developed throughout my career.
Rugs Direct Q4 Digital Marketing Campaign
As part of my Digital Marketing programme at the London School of Economics, I had the opportunity to collaborate with Rugs Direct, a US-based company, in developing a marketing strategy for the fourth quarter. This strategy primarily centred around Black Friday and Christmas campaigns. The project had a budget of $19 million and encompassed both paid and organic content strategies across social media platforms, Google Ads, email and SMS marketing, influencer and affiliate marketing, SEO strategy, and website optimisation. In this endeavour, I assumed the role of Social Media Specialist, with a particular emphasis on Meta platforms. The work was highly regarded by the company.
Mental Health campaign
During the Covid pandemic, I coordinated the digital communication campaign ‘Conversemos, nuestra salud importa’ (Let’s talk our health matters) which focused on promoting the relevance of mental health and created spaces for the University of Chile community to talk about this topic from different perspectives and experiences and to offer recommendations to better address the new reality of the pandemic. This campaign included social media content, online discussions and activities.
HIV Prevention campaign
In 2019 I coordinated an HIV prevention campaign for the University of Chile community of over 60,000 people. This campaign included HIV testing, educational content through the university’s digital and social media channels (website, newsletter, Facebook, Youtube, Instagram and Twitter) and workshops with HIV experts and activists. Thousands of people were tested for HIV during this campaign.
Social Media content creation
Being creative, knowing your audience, and finding the right voice to communicate your message are essential to being successful on social media. Throughout my career I have managed and created content for organisations with thousands of followers on their social media accounts. Staying relevant to the audience is a daily job that involves not only creativity but also market research and analysis of results.
Sexual Harassment eradication campaign
The campaign #LaChileDiceNo to sexual harassment was the first initiative aimed at preventing and contributing to the eradication of sexual harassment, gender-based violence, and discrimination throughout the Universidad de Chile community. As part of the university’s Communications Office, I participated by creating educational content for the institutional website and social media channels on this issue.S
Written content
From 2015 to 2021, I created written content for the digital academic journal ‘Palabra Pública’. Science, medicine, and technology were part of the main topics I developed for this monthly publication. You can read some of my work in the following link.
Sandia Comunicaciones Agency
As part of the Chilean agency Sandia Comunicaciones, I worked on social media content creation with a diverse range of brands for Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram channels. In this role I developed creativity and passion for social media content and gained experience in multiple tasks that are still fundamental in my daily work, such as performance analysis, metrics, and market research.
